Tom Huber Counselling foldout Brochure

This foldout brochure has been constructed to be bright, distinct and to evoke thought in the reader, as well as be accessible to view and follow.  The typeface used for ‘Tom Huber’ is an understated, informal typeface that is formed to be approachable to the reader.  The words ‘counselling’ and ‘support services’ are in a firmer, dense typeface, that conveys the service that is being offered and the importance of the message it needs to project.  This also adds prominence.  The navy colour of the typeface used for these words points up the blue hues in the picture and the text ‘first session free’ in navy capitals, highlights the message of easy access to this service, which is a paramount message.  The typeface ‘be heard and experience positive change’ concurs with the name and title, to combine this message with the service the counsellor is offering.  All choice of typeface and size is excellently utilised to spotlight the earnest message and its positive communication to the reader.  The image of the road denotes that the individual is on a journey, facing forward on this journey, just as the service provider is helping him to face forward in life.  You cannot see his face and this represents the individuals inside journey with the service provider, on the halcyon, still, quiet road.

The use of colour throughout the spectrum features the person’s journey to a lighter destination.  This is done with the variance in brilliant hues in the colour spectrum, which act as a framework in the background.  This is reflecting the person’s positive journey on the way.  The image of the strong person, helping the other person up into the light, bright, warm hues (from the colder, blue and purple hues of the spectrum), highlights this.  Arriving at a bright, warm place, the strong person is mirroring the service provider and the other, the person in need.  The mountain signifies a strong, solid base in which the service provider can support the individual and the two people in a black tone, underscore the value of this action and its meaning, against the transition in light and help.
